Hi Phoebe. A ring is a nice idea. If it's easier to move maybe it wouldn't have the same impact. though. Your willy wagtail story is so lovely. It sure would be nice sometimes to live in the moment the way other creatures do. I guess having a (supposed) Higher Conciousness is what sets us apart. Is it striving for perfection or striving to know and better ourselves so we can realise our full potential?

Probably all of the above.

I love Maya Angelou's poem 'Still I Rise'. I like the idea of the wrist band as a physical reminder of a bad habit. For me I would buy any old rubber type one (there are heaps at the cheapo shops) and do the same thing. Even prettier whould be to use a ring you already have that may switch from side to side easily. I agree that 21 days does seem so long when you're living it, we are such odd creatures with so many things we desire to improve. Why we strive for such perfection I don't know. I wish I were more content with mediocre some days. Bet you wouldn't hear a willy wagtail bird whinging that her nest isn't clean enough or that she didn't spend enough time listening to her chicks at the end of today. She's just grateful she found enough grubs for them to eat, that the nest is in one piece and that no babies froze during the rain.

Thanks for stopping by Holly. I've just read/commented about your neighbours at your blog. Thanks for the update there. I've been waiting for part 2 :-) Very amusing now that they've moved. LOL

Have to 'fess up myself that this 'no complaining' gig is really hard. I will continue to wear my bracelet, but I forgot today. DOH! I'm still painfully aware of my complaints with or without the purple band, but seeing that colour on my wrist helps I think.

Let me know if you take it on board. I think the first stage of becoming aware is a great starting point for change. Make sure the colour band you wear is eye catching.

Good for you! Now I have a confession. Our church passed those bracelets out over a year ago, and I...uh, didn't even take one! I was afraid. I'm so lame, aren't I. I do try to focus on the positives, and I think the bracelet is a really good idea. Perhaps I'll follow your example and take the plunge! :o)
