Charlotte said to me "Well, the stove is obviously too old". How old is She to be so articulate? Actually, She tripped over 'obviously' the tiniest bit, but I knew exactly what She was saying. Not bad for a 4 y/o, though.

hahaha! so glad your cake turned out ok after that! that's a hoot. (Our oven is also useless and it takes an extra 20 to bake cakes etc. It's partly why I rarely use it to cook quiche or roast vegies.):-)

Well Marni, I'll have to try the jacks and leads. LOL I thought Charlotte had broken the timer this afternoon. She accidentally (I think) dropped it, but it's fine. Yes, it was an accident.

I used the timer for a cake I was baking, too and Charlotte changed it for extra time again. Luckily our stove is useless and the cake needed the extra 20 mins, anyway, but I now have to be very specific as to why we are using the timer. LOL

Hahahaha, yep, the timer might work, it might not!

What seems to work around here for some extra time to myself is to leave out a box of random leads and jacks and exit the room...

... buys up to half an hour; 'course it may take longer than that to work out why the phone has stopped working and why the sound for the tv is coming out of the walkie talkie!!!

worth it? sometimes!!!

good luck with finding some time! x :-)
