Now I've braved it Chris, the world's my oyster when it comes to colour. Actually, we left the darker, underneath section as it was at my friends suggestion, so we could make it even darker and I'd prefer blonde rather than the honey colour that it is. I said orange in my post. It's honey/orange lol

Hey there, Robyn.

I always remember your story, but didn't realise it was with Herbatint. I did my homework and am aware that they have chemicals. Can't avoid it particularly if you want to go lighter. So far so good and thanks for your concern.

Hi Christine,
When I saw the name Harbatint it brought back traumatic memories of the worst reaction I have ever had to hair dye. I am allergic to the normal sort so I thought I would try a herbal one, years ago.......I ended up with my face so swollen for 5 days that I could hardly see out!! So be careful, just because it's herbal doesn't mean it is chemical free!

Well done Christine, you did it. Eco-friendly colour is the way to go. Now that I have started using the eco friendly colors I plan to hide the greys for many, many years to come.

Phoebe. Why not start with red highlights? I think that would look fantastic on your dark locks. I don't get many comments about Charlotte looking like me, but when I do, it is a buzz, so can relate to that one.

I talked to my hairdresser the other day about having her make me look like Zara's Mum... ie. going RED. Not sure if I'm brave enough and not completely confident that my pastey skin is the right match for her colour, but will look into it. I'm always asked 'is she yours?' or 'where does she get that red hair?' so could fool the onlookers, albeit breifly!

Now I've braved it Chris, the world's my oyster when it comes to colour. Actually, we left the darker, underneath section as it was at my friends suggestion, so we could make it even darker and I'd prefer blonde rather than the honey colour that it is. I said orange in my post. It's honey/orange lol

There is nothing more uplifting than a new hair colour! I find the lighter I go the better I feel! Once I had my hair dyed dark brown, it lasted 2 days and back I went to the hairdresser. Very expensive week that was! I always go to eco-friendly saloons. These days it is every 8 weeks to have my "freeways" touched up. Cheers and enjoy your new hair colour - what colour will you try next?
