I’m just going to start over. I cannot for the life of me find the draft of my post that I have been working on for the past few days. That’s how new I am to all this. It’s probably my punishment for not fulfilling my Accountability goal at MomMasterminds of blogging every day or every other day. Also last night I somehow deleted part of my post that was supposed to be copied and pasted. I have no clue what happened there. Grrr. Anyway, that’s enough griping. It always feels good to get things off my chest before proceeding with the good stuff.
My lost ramblings were about Charlotte’s second visit to the Royal Childrens Hospital. We did the train and tram thing again on Monday and arrived 20 mins early. It was really chilly outside and a wet morning. In fact, the train ride revealed a lot of flooding in the area that we may not have seen in the car. Peter joined us this time, being on hols and all.
We were called in only 25 mins after the appointment time. Not bad considering the number of people waiting.
It was a quick check by the Surgeon and thumbs up. Can’t resist a good pun. Charlotte’s two thumbs are now straight She mastered it very quickly with her bandages on as a four yr old. and She has a couple of small pieces of tape on them. Without the support of the bandages, She is a little reluctant to use her thumbs properly, but each day gets easier. She continues to hold the spoon with her four fingers, scooping the food up in the way a baby does when first learning to use cutlery. Charlotte didn’t do that as a bub, but She worked out how to go about things very rapidly with the bandages on. (more…)
