I was sooo tired yesterday. All I could do when I wasn’t having to do something was close my eyes. Of course that’s impossible with a four yr old around unless you have someone to take the reigns, which I did in the form of Charlotte’s Grandad. That’s my Dad, not my partners. Peter’s folks are known as Oma & Opa. Even though I couldn’t seem to sleep (wouldn’t you know it), I did manage to rest up here and there.
Today was completely different. I was rearing to go more than usual. Just as I was about to pick up the phone to call my Mum, Charlotte chimed in, “Mum, can we see if Nanna can come and visit?” I love it when we’re tuned in like that. It’s one of those things that makes Motherhood so very special and yes, I was about to ask Mum if She’d like to come for a visit. We saw her yesterday, oh and the day before aswell. Mum is trying to give me a few breaks, so I can get things done, but especially my business studies and set up.
Anyway, I thought it would be nice to have lunch together at my favourite cafe in town. Mum won’t get to see Charlotte until after Charlotte’s operation on Friday and fortunately, She was happy to drive here again. Even if I don’t get to do some much needed work, be it cleaning the house, sorting paperwork, studying my business notes, it is always easier for some reason, with an extra person around. I can duck off to the toilet on my own when we’re out (WooHoo!) or go to the shops to grab some supplies taking 5 mins not 15. (more…)
